We’re back with another episode of The Apartment Rockstar Podcast! This time, we’re featuring Izzy Garza of Maintenance Supply. Izzy and Maintenance Supply have been long-time partners of Rockstar and it’s only natural he’d be on the show at some point.

On this episode, we get to discuss the mentalities and philosophies that have led to our individual successes, as well as the lessons we’ve been able to pass on to each other over the years.  It’s an incredible trip down memory lane with someone who has known Rockstar back when we had 500 units, all the way to today where we own over 3600.

Izzy shares in Rockstar’s belief that, especially in multifamily management, it’s all about the team. There’s no room for individual success, because everyone knows everything we do is a group effort. It’s multiple people working with varying levels of experience and experiences giving this company everything they’ve got; 110% always.

It’s this philosophy of heart over talent that you can find at the core of every process, acquisition, and hire at Rockstar that makes up the vast majority of our identity. We’re not a company as much as we are a community; there’s not a single person on the team that doesn’t believe we’re capable of reaching 10,000 unit owned. It’s a constantly encouraging and fulfilling place to be, and that’s extremely unique in today’s professional landscape.

Our commitment to doing things differently, treating our team differently, is something that even our vendors can’t help but notice. Even our vendor relationships tend to be more personable and meaningful; Izzy is proof of that. This episode was a blast to film, and I hope it’s a chance to not only drive home Rockstar’s values, but also for you to “meet Izzy” and see how much an intentional relationship with a vendor can change the landscape of a company’s future!
