Another day brings another big win for Rockstar! Last month, I was named an honoree of the Houston Business Journal’s list of Most Admired CEOs. It’s an honor I could only have received with a team behind me that believes in me and our ability to achieve our goals as a company.

If I were to give three words with which I would like to be described, they would be Innovation, Dreamer, and above all, Heart. It’s heart that built this company to 21 properties in just eight short years. It’s heart that’s blessed us with a team that has proven time and time again, its ability to learn and adapt fast enough to consistently push the market forward.

Our #RockstarPride isn’t born out of a need to gloat, it’s a pride we take in our work and in each other. We believe that each of us our capable of achieving greatness, and no one cheers Rockstar on like Rockstars can. We’re a company built on belief in ourselves when the only ingredient you need is hard work.

I’m proud to be named an “Admired CEO,” only because I know no one admires my team as much as I do. The only reason I am able to believe in them and fight for their goals, is that I know the same is true with roles reversed. I know we’re all in the same boat, reaching the same goals one step at a time.

I can’t wait to see what’s next on the horizon. I can’t wait for our next big award when it’s one of my team members up there instead of me because I can say with 100% certainty, they’ll deserve it, and no one will be clapping louder than Rockstar.
